House Cooling

My dear friends Ross and Grace had a brilliant idea this past weekend: A House Cooling party. They will be moving out of their apartment at the end of the month, and to commemorate the great times we’ve had at their pad (which we lovingly call “the west end speak easy”) they had one last bash.

A party intuitively sounds like the last thing you want when having to move out and clean an apartment, but they played it smart. They made food from ingredients they want to get rid of (see cake), drank booze that needed to go (see mead), and best of all, we played BINGO to give away items that they no longer want (see margarita glasses). I seriously thought this was pure genius, and a grand old time.

So next time you are dreading a move, get excited that you get to throw your very own House Cooling!
