Yup, time does that thing it loves to do. Go by. FAST.
10 years ago I met this guy while working at a summer camp in Maine, and we fell in love, hard.
6 years ago I moved from Nova Scotia to Vancouver to be with him.
1 year ago today, I married him.
Over the past decade we have said a lot to each other. So many words and countless “I love you’s”, but no words have carried as much meaning as the vows we said in Prince Edward Island last August 17 in front of our incredible community of family and friends.
To make sure our words really stuck, to our hearts, guts, and every fiber of our being, we came up with the idea of saying our vows all over Italy while on our honeymoon – to help ingrain them in our minds, and our marriage.
While in Italy we forgot to film the vows in some spots because we were running late for a train or caught up having an extra bottle of wine, and we thought it may end up being the cheesiest video of all time, but my seriously creative husband took all the footage and made the following video in one night. I don’t even think I have to say it, but I will anyways. Not only is he so talented it hurts, but he is the best man I have ever met and I feel so lucky to be loved by him and call him my husband:
